AgriSense Hub is an end-to-end digital ecosystem that bridges the gap between harvest and market for Kenya's smallholder farmers, combining AI, real-time monitoring, and accessible communication channels into one platform. AI-Driven Yield & Rotation: Machine learning models predict crop yields and recommend optimal rotation schedules, helping farmers maintain soil health and plan production with confidence across seasons. Post-Harvest Management: Real-time tracking of stock levels and produce quality triggers automated spoilage alerts, prompting farmers to make immediate sales or storage decisions before losses occur. Smart Storage Network: The platform connects farmers to a localized network of affordable, verified storage facilities ;including coolers and dry grain stores , closing the cold-chain gap that drives most post-harvest losses. Transparent Marketplace: Buyers can trace the full farming journey from seed to storage, ensuring quality and food safety while giving farmers direct access to buyers and eliminating exploitative middlemen. Inclusive Accessibility: Built for the realities of rural Kenya, AgriSense works offline and offers an AI assistant in local languages via WhatsApp and Telegram, alongside USSD, SMS, and voice AI access - removing smartphone and connectivity barriers to adoption. Farm Dashboard: Farmers get a unified view of stock valuation, spoilage alerts, market prices, and buyer conversations in one place. Technically, AgriSense is built on React 18 with TypeScript and Supabase (PostgreSQL with Edge Functions), using Google Gemini and OpenAI GPT for its AI capabilities, and packaged as an installable Progressive Web App with offline-first data caching , functioning reliably even in low-connectivity rural areas, and able to be wrapped into native Android/iOS apps via Capacitor.
