Problem

Sub-Saharan Africa’s 600 million smallholder farmers manage lands that determine the continent's future as a carbon sink, yet they are excluded from the voluntary carbon market by traditional MRV costs that reach $40 per tonne . Digi Tree replaces expensive 500manualauditswitha∗∗HybriddMRVplatform∗∗thatreducesissuancecoststounder∗∗0.40 per hectare per year** . Our platform overcomes the failure of satellite-only models caused by cloud cover and heterogeneous plots by combining strategic ground-truthing (5-10% sampling) with Causal AI . Utilizing a 26-feature RandomForest model trained on 140,000 regional soil measurements, we achieve ±2.9% uncertainty, which is five times more accurate than standard requirements . Fully aligned with ICVCM Core Carbon Principles and the updated Verra VM0047 v1.1 methodology, Digi Tree enables high-integrity issuance for agroforestry and degraded forest restoration . We deliver an 88% revenue share directly to farmers via M-Pesa in under 60 seconds upon credit sale . Automated audit logs are anchored to Hedera Hashgraph for institutional transparency, aiming to scale to 500,000 farmers, unlock $65 billion in carbon value, and mitigate 140 million tCO2e
